I'm playing a show with the very talented Dave Carducci on Friday, October 30th @ 9pm Room 5 Lounge in Hollywood, CA. This is my first show in Los Angeles since moving back and I'm really excited to get back out there playing live again! The set will feature songs from my debut CD as well as some new ones, so you won't want to miss it!!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and last night I completed a "live" recording of a song for the Abrazos 2009; a compilation CD that donates 100% of the profit to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer. The song, "Once," features Dave Carducci on acoustic guitar and was recorded by Nels Jensen (Kate Miller-Heidke, Flight of the Conchords).
Learn more about the project by visiting the Abrazos website and support the cause by purchasing the CD when it comes out!!!
Hi All,
Big news below...
Getting ready to begin new CD!!!
- My manager called me a little over a month ago to give me some fantastic news about possible labels, and several other changes that I'll keep mum about until I get more info. Through the course of the conversation, here's what went down... New songs needed to be recorded, immediately, so that we could present the new music to the labels who are showing interest. I couldn't believe my ears! I've been waiting for this moment for nearly two years now... and it's finally happening! There are still several details to work out, but I will be going into the studio to work with my NEW producers (yay!) on finishing the new songs, and I'll begin recording by September. I'm over the moon!
So, because of all of this goodness, I'm moving back to California... this Friday. It's something I've been mulling over for several months now, and finally all of the details have fallen into place. I found two incredible guys to move into my magical little bungalow in Sylvan Park (yay for Joseph & Tony.. and Bailey!), I've had a big moving sale (that's still going on if you live in Nashville kiddos), and I've devoted hours and hours and hours towards my songwriting, singing, and reflecting of all things musical.
It looks like I might be in the gods favor after all.
Keep in touch,
Hope
p.s. Hey, if you haven't signed up for the mailing list yet, do so please... it's a great way to hear from me in the future as I begin to play out again, and when the album releases!
xo, Hope
It's such a beautiful morning here in Nashville. And while I'd love to soak up the sun a little longer, I MUST go inside and finish these new songs!! I'm completely thrilled, overwhelmed, and excitably nervous about my music right now. I simply cannot WAIT for eveyone to hear!!! xo, Hope
