So nice to be able to stop in and update all you lovely folks on an exciting article featuring little ol' me....
ELLE Magazine (Brazil) - March 2010 edition - has featured me as one of five new female artists to look out for in the Jazz/Blues world this year. I'm so overwhelmingly excited and honored to be featured next to Melody Gardot, and 3 other fantastic songstresses!!! Check out the review in the press section, and read the translation below. The author, Luiz Cesar Pimentel wrote a beautiful review, and it made me blush with excitement... coupled with a dream I had (keep reading) I garnered up some juicy inspiration to pick up my pen and write a new song....
I had a dream the other night that I was at a garage sale and found this really cool stand-up little organ contraption, with just the coolest damn sound you've ever heard. I was playing it like a champ, and I wrote a melody that felt like a dark, sticky night in my home state of Louisiana. I miss humidity. California desert heat is baked with a lot of love, but my skin is itching for some honeysuckle dew. I need two things- A trip back home, and garage sale hunting this weekend!!! Wish me luck, maybe next time you see me play a show, I'll have that magical little contraption, and a hot, sticky new song.

Just a quick update for everyone who does not know already, just finished recording 4 AMAZING new tracks at Red Star Recording Studio in Silverlake, CA with the brilliant producers David Kalish & Doctor Barrie Maguire.
All I can say right now is wow.
The band, the vibe, the entire process was beyond my wildest expectation.
As soon as I get the ok, I'll hopefully be posted snippets of the new tunes here, and on my ReverbNation, Facebook, and Myspace accounts.
Players Included: Jeff Young on Keys, Dan Lutz on Bass, Doug Pettibone on Guitar, David Kalish on Guitar, Eric "The Rock" Eldinius on Drums, Pete Thomas on hand drums, Arnold McCuller & Danelle Deandrea on Backing Vocals, and the genius of Barrie Maguire at the console...

I'm playing a show with the very talented Dave Carducci on Friday, October 30th @ 9pm Room 5 Lounge in Hollywood, CA. This is my first show in Los Angeles since moving back and I'm really excited to get back out there playing live again! The set will feature songs from my debut CD as well as some new ones, so you won't want to miss it!!
